Haikal Khuzairi

Born a Singaporean and proudly Gen Z.  I spend much of my time on my laptop, whether that’s watching movies and shows, discovering new music (and replaying favorite songs), playing video games, or diving into random creative computing projects like editing my gaming clips. Being part of various fandoms has also given me a space to express my creative side. These experiences have helped me become quick on my feet and develop a sharp attention to detail.

Apart from being so online, occasionally I love to cycle around the island and play sports just that those things occurs when I'm invited or so but I really wish I could do it by myself. If talking about being my hands-on and in reality technical thinking, I own a motorbike and that also taught me the way in life and how as a society we operate.

One of the things I truly value in life is art and not just because I'm in an art course. What resonates with me most is the amount of effort and thought process behind it, which often goes unnoticed. In Singapore, it can be especially difficult for people to truly appreciate art, and as a result, the passion behind it slowly fades. 'The Projector' is a good example of this 'a space that celebrates creativity but also reflects the struggle of keeping local art alive'

I feel fortunate to have been introduced to Singapore's creative scene, particularly the music community. It's a tough space to gain recognition for your talents, but the passion and authenticity within it are undeniable. Other than that, every year I make it a point to attend events like Light to Night or iLight as a small gesture of appreciation for the creativity around me.

I also carry my Fujifilm and Olympus digital camera wherever I go, capturing beautiful moments and details that often go unnoticed. For me, it's another way of honoring the art that exists in everyday life.
